EXT. FIELD

JOHN C. EVERYMAN and CINDY L. EVERYWOMAN are making out surrounded by DAISIES and OTHER PRETTY FLOWERS.

JOHN C. EVERYMAN

I want this moment to last forever

CINDY L. EVERYWOMAN

It will. No matter what happens, even if you enlist in the National Guard and get shipped to Iraq or some other hypothetical situation happens, we'll always have this moment. Now promise me that you'll never leave me to go join the National Guard and get shipped to Iraq...or some other hypothetical situation.

JOHN C. EVERYMAN

Erm...okay

GREEN DAY

We're making a political statement!

THE SONG plays during a montage of shots of JOHN and CINDY laughing and having fun together.

AUDIENCE

Aww, how sweet! They're in love! Oh, but it's only the beginning of the video...I sure hope

nothing happens to mess it up!

EXT: A FRONT PORCH (WHERE SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN TO MESS IT UP)

CINDY comes out crying, muttering incomprehensibly.

CINDY

(Barely comprehensible over the incomprehensible crying) Tell me you didn't do it! How could you do this to me? Tell me you didn't do it! Tell me you didn't do it! Tell me you didn't do it! I can't believe you did this! How could you do this to us? Tell me you didn't do it!

AUDIENCE

I wonder what he did...oh...right, Green Day's making a political statement.

JOHN

I will now destroy any likeability my character ever had by getting raging pissed at you while you are obviously distraught because I broke my promise about never leaving you. I thought of all people you would be proud of me! This was supposed to make it easier, I did it for us!

GREEN DAY FANS IN THE AUDIENCE

Wow, what great actors! The guy's an asshole. I hope he dies.

NON GREEN DAY FANS IN THE AUDIENCE

These people are overacting terribly! I hope they both die.

GREEN DAY

That's not the point! The point is that war tears people apart! We are now raping you with our political statement!

AUDIENCE

Ow! It hurts...

THE SONG plays over a montage of army training scenes. Included is the head shaving scene from V for Vendetta.

A.J.

Wait...was V for Vendetta released before or after this video? Oh well. No one cares. They're all distracted by being raped by Green Day's political statement.

EXT: IRAQ

FIGHTING occurs! John C. Everyman fights valiantly while back home CINDY L. EVERYWOMAN misses him terribly.

AUDIENCE

Yeah. He's gonna die.

SONG

I will play over the violent fight sequences but I will play soft enough as to not cover up the shouts and gunfire. My slow melody will work to bring out the misery that both characters are feeling.

GREEN DAY

(Cramming Political Statement up AUDIENCE'S ass) Are you getting the Political Statement yet?

EXT: THE PORCH WHERE SOMETHING HAPPENED TO MESS IT UP

CINDY sits crying on a porch swing

CINDY (V.O.)

We'll always have each other, we'll always have this moment. Promise me you'll never leave me

AUDIENCE

Okay, he's for sure gonna die now

JOHN fights valiantly
